These photos might not quite be nightmare fuel, but they are definitely firmly on the creepy side of the scale. From odd historical images, to personal anecdotes of disconcerting experiences, these 20 pics are certifiably weird.

One man is having a devil of a time cooking eggs, and has posted multiple images to the r/weird subreddit. Instead of boiling like normal, an odd gooey film is forming over the top of the pot, reminiscent of the slime from Ghostbusters. This gallery features his second image. "It's happened again," he wrote.

Other people had their own mysterious food experiences, except on the delivery side of things. "Received a package with 10+ packs of spaghetti and a pineapple,” one man wrote. I guess you can't complain, but that's also an oddly specific order to wind up at your door.
